Is Low T Preventing Me From Consummating My Marriage?

Postby JD91 » Fri May 19, 2017 8:17 pm

Hello!

In another thread, I was encouraged to post my testosterone level over here to hopefully gain insight into whether or not it is playing into my sexual problems. Here's a brief summary: I'm 25 and my wife is 27. We've been married since October 2016 but have not yet been able to consummate the marriage because we both have an extremely difficult time getting and staying aroused. We've been virgins our whole lives and did not mess around before marriage, but before marriage both of our sex drives were very strong and we desired each other like any couple our age would. Once we said "I do," it was like a flip switched. It started on my end...Once we realized I was experiencing persistent ED, suddenly she was no longer able to get aroused either. We think the problem is mostly psychological. I think if I were able to maintain an erection long enough to successfully penetrate, her arousal issues would probably go away. We've seen two counselors so far, but neither have been helpful. We both had physical exams by our primary care physicians, and found no problems there. I've tried both Viagra and Cialis, and they've been somewhat helpful, but not helpful enough to have IC.

From what I've read and what the doctor told me, my T level is normal. But what do you think? My level is 636.4 ng/dl.

I don't know really anything about T levels, so I'd appreciate any insight. If everyone agrees mine is in the normal range for a 25-year-old, then at least I will have ruled out physiological causes.

JD91 I have read through your other lengthy post and I am a lurker here but felt led to comment on your situation.

After reading through your trials with the ED I can’t help but agree that most of your problem IS phycological and more specifically “performance anxiety” and you just need a jump start to train your brain to start having PIV with your wife. Based on this observation, I believe you would benefit from using penile injections to get you an erection so you can complete the sexual act.

These injections are painless and within 5 minutes or so you will have an erection that will last plenty long enough to allow you to have PIV and once your brain is re trained you can probably discontinue them for good. The advantage to the injections are that your erection will be mechanical and totally independent of what your brain is thinking so you will overcome any anxiety or other issues. You will need to have your Urologist prescribe the Rx and school you on how to perform the injections and you may need to search around for a Uro that is familiar with treating ED by prescribing Trimix or Bimix injectables. If you would like to see videos of these injections you can search YouTube for “Trimix Injections” and there are several videos showing the actual use of this method.

I am basing this recommendation on personal experience as I am presently using this method to overcome my ED and PE that has been an issue for me many years. I wish you luck my friend and I would welcome a private message if you would like to discuss this in any way.
