TRT + Cialis

Postby justsomeguy » Mon Sep 04, 2017 3:45 pm

Howdy folks,

To recap, I'm a fit 48 yrs old who's been on TRT & HCG injection twice weekly (sub-q) for all this year. My overall goal is to get to where I felt at 45 yrs old - a goal a few different docs have said is entirely reasonable.

Bottom line is this: while my TRT+HCG+DIM+DHEA regimen definitely causes me to feel better than before I started, I do not yet feel like 45 again. At 45 I could easily engage in sexual activity every day, and felt a strong sexual drive / libido. On my current regimen I still suffer from weaker erections at night and I just don't have the drive I had at 45. If I attempt sex on subsequent nights, I sometimes experience a failure to finish, feeling numb down there, and basically just not feeling turned on at all. Never had this at 45 and younger.

More than a year ago, prior to switching to Defy, my young local urologist gave me some sample 5mg packs of Cialis. This was before I convinced him to check my T levels. As an experiment I've taken a tablet on a Friday and Saturday the past two weekends. The difference was noticeable. While the C is in me, I feel 45 again :) Not only are erections distinctly better, they are also more frequent. Just a loving touch or a sexy look from my wife causes an erection when the C is on board. I love this! This is how I've always been and it makes me feel like the real "me" again.

My concerns are the following:

- are there long term negative consequences from being on C daily?
- does one develop a tolerance / resistance to the effect of C, and therefore require higher & higher doses?
- is there any possibility this is psychosomatic / placebo effect?

If it means reacing my goal, I would love to add 5mg C a day and call it done. Would this be unwise?

I've read elsewhere on the web & I've found conflicting info. Some say have at it - in fact the daily C may well improve overall health as it improves blood flow everywhere, a good thing. Other posts warn about "unknown long term effects" and decreasing effectiveness. Perhaps any of you who's been on TRT + C long term could chime in as well?

Thanks!

Have you ever considered natural solutions or options?

I am on TRT and I take 5mg of Cialis every day (I cut 20mg tabs into 4 pieces). I've had no side effects. The Cialis is also good to prevent BPH.

Sometimes I will also take 25-50 mg of Viagra before sex. I'm 65.

Go to ExcelMale webste. Lots of good on this and other related topics info there.

Thanks Hoosier. The ExcelMale website seems very pro-C while PeakTestosterone seems very wary of C and highly suggests discontinuing its use. Hence the conflict.

Q: May I ask at what age you started using Cialis?

I have been on cialis for the past thirteen or so years.

I can see no side effects. Some say to take a cialis holiday every three months, however, you can read anything anecdotally on the web.

I would encourage you to take the 5 mg of cialis daily until you get your hormones where you want them. With time, you may not need the cialis.

Above all, dont let your mind play games with you psychologically. That will affect your performance big time.

I remember the cialis effect you describe when I began using cialis about 13 years ago. Now that I am seven decades old, I dont get that effect but I am still helped by tadalafil. I order mine from a well known Indian supplier as I dont relish a one month prescription of the stuff costing me 600 dollars. Talk about age discrimination and big pharma!!!!!!! What a rip off when you can buy a 20 mg tablet from India for about a buck a piece.

Finally bro, a world renowned cardiologist in a cardiac consult with him advised me that if I needed to take viagra in addition to cialis, to do it for the sake of erectile health and sex. He was 72 so he understood my plight and was most sympathetic.

Godspeed. Will be watching for your results. Please post them as many guys here, older and your age, will want to see your progress.

About age 55. I order from Canadian Pharmacy King or Quality Prescriptions in Canada. Both legit. Both require a prescription. The generic is a fraction of the cost of the brand name and just as good.

Feeling pretty good lately with T 3x / week and 2.5 mg C daily.

Has anyone had success with liquid Tadalafil? Is it cheaper that way? Got a good source? I do have an Rx

Progesterone was the ticket for me. I kept upping and upping my testosterone dosage until increasing it made me worse. But with progesterone, I am in my late 50's I am performing like I am 40 again.

I prefer to stick with natural treatments when possible. ED is not caused by lack of Cialis in your bloodstream. It seems to be generally safe, and I would use that if I had to, or if I had the opportunity would try it just as an experiment. But there are risks, so why use it if there is something natural that you are low in anyway?

I also take L-Citrulline, and lately have been experimenting with Boron. Search Reillyj's posts.

Yes, but who cares . Seriously, the stuff does work for men who can get erections. How it works is quite interesting. I read up on it once. IIRC, it slows down the metabolism of Nitric Oxide or something like that.

For me, the issue has not been so much difficulty getting an erection but rather one of low sensitivity and difficulty to finish. I did try progesterone for a while and it did seem like there was an initial bit of help from it, that faded out quickly. Dr. Saya of Defy Medical told me there was no reason to use progesterone unless labs specifically showed my levels as low. But lately I’m doing fairly decent with 2.5 mg of Cialis daily along with T and HCG injections three times per week.

How much progesterone were you taking? It started working for me then stopped working because I was taking too much.

Your testicles make progesterone too. If they aren't making testosterone properly, then it seems odd that they would be ok making progesterone.

Fwiw, I tested my progesterone after I experimentally determined the proper dose. I was smack dab in the middle of the normal range. But, "low normal" for men starts at ZERO. That's why I say "for what it's worth".
