Female libido enhancers

Has anyone any positive or negative feedback on the various products out there. Many options. DW's doctor suggested avlimil. Researching online I found this. Looks like there are many choices but I am wary of online fake review promotional stuff. Appreciate this community very much. These boards have been a blessing to our marriage. http://www.femininereview.com/reviews/f ... enhancers/

From my understanding none of over the counter stuff work. Viagra was expected to enhance female sexual performance as well as men's. In physiological studies it increased blood flow to female genitals and the scientist fully expected it to be a success with women. Much to their disappointment, when they got to the part of the studies asking women about the effect, they were stunned to find it had little reported improvement. Despite the physiologic response that they all had, it did not enhance women's libido or enjoyment of sex. This left the researchers very perplexed. They are still trying to figure this out. There is a huge fortune to be made if they can crack the code and figure out a treatment to help.

I have been using an herbal product and for me it really does work.
It's called Vira Max for Women, available in health food stores and online. I also tried taking several of the components of it: damiana, mucuna pruriens, maca and catuaba and find that those herbs also make a difference in my response.

The OP here was asking about his post-menopausal wife, but the stuff on bHRT applies.

^^ Oh yeah!!! (cuing DJ Babba's - Oh Yeah song in my head  )

Honestly, in my experience nothing did it for me like having my testosterone replaced. I was running on near zero back a few years ago. It must be balanced with other hormones and carefully titrated and followed by a qualified practitioner, but IMO, there's no substitute for having your hormonal balance restored. I do use a woman's herbal blend because we're still fiddling with my T dosing, and sometimes I just need to catch up with DH
