What have you learned from having ED?

Erectile disfunction, premature ejaculation, delayed orgasm, etc.

What have you learned from having ED?

Postby Brianna » Sat Oct 21, 2017 8:34 pm

What has having ED taught you about yourself and how has it impacted your walk with God? As a spouse I ask Him all the time to show me what He wants me to learn. I ponder what DH could be learning from the situation. I'm curious to hear what spiritual insight others have gathered.

Did the penile implant not work out?

"What have you learned?"

That is a good question.

I have no idea if I have learned anything. My ability to become erect was taken via cancer surgery. I could go back to the surgeon and ask for an implant, but my wife would rather that I not have an implant.

Lessons:

God’s goodness to us can go unnoticed until it’s taken away. He was under no obligation to give us such a wonderful, pleasurable gift as sex, but he chose to do so. Now I make every effort to truly see God’s wonder everything.

God works through all of his creation. He gave some people the ability to achieve wondrous acts in many fields, including science and medicine. ED drugs testify to this. (Being the 500th anniversary of the Reformation, Martin Luther agreed to this concept. In fact I stole it from his writings.)

Even with ED my wife and I make love every night. Loving couples don’t need intercourse to be physically intimate. We’ve had some of the sweetest times together while rubbing, hugging and back scratching, etc. Wish I had known about this years ago.

I wouldn’t have thought my ED would have be such an emotional time for me. After several months I find I’m more open and sympathetic with others about this change.

I'm the wife of a man with ED, so I'll venture an answer here.

My husband's ED doesn't impact my relationship with God much, if at all.

It HAS caused a lot of concern and angst for both of us in the marriage bed, however. I quickly realized that I would be called upon to exhibit compassion and understanding with him. I'm also a fixer, so I immediately began looking for solutions to his problem and we found them.

My husband learned that I was a safe person to share his innermost fears with. He learned that I would do whatever it took to make sure we continued to have a fulfilling MB. This is a condition that calls for sensitivity on the part of the wife and a willingness to set aside selfishness for the good of the relationship.

Can you suggest some of the solutions you found? I need some ideas that would be helpful to us.
Thanks,

Mostly we followed a lot of the tips and suggestions found on TMB. He tried penis rings but they made us nervous. He tried various supplements like L-Citrulline, cayenne, arginine. They helped only a little. The best results we achieved were with prescription Cialis because his doctor handed him a few sample packs every time DH went for a visit. Once we experienced the great results from tadalafil, the next logical step was to find a less expensive alternative. We chose to purchase the liquid peptides suggested by "Earl" and a couple of other guys, and have been very pleased with the results. In fact, ED isn't even a factor 90% of the time for us now. If you would like the link, I'm happy to share that.

There ya go! I should also mention that you have to sign a disclaimer saying that you are using the product for scientific research purposes only.

Nvr2Late - I went to the link you posted but I did not see any information about the dosage. How many doses are in one 30ml bottle?
Thanks for sharing.

My husband takes 3-4 drops at a time. That seems to be his optimal dose; your mileage might vary. Maybe some of the other men here will weigh in with their dosages.
