I have used Androgel testosterone supplement for many years. In reading through the info sheet for it today, it said it is not for women - duh- but it also said that if a female is using it she should consult with her physician if she is going to get pregnant. The assumption, I suppose, is the some women will - do- use it. News to me. Why would that be?

Women do not use Androgel because the dosage of testosterone is too high in that, but they do use supplemental testosterone in much smaller dosages. It's usually administered as a topical cream, or as pellets which are inserted under the skin. There have been a lot of threads posted here about women using testosterone:
