Indeed. Originally DW (FW at the time) and I planned on using the Pill for BC but once she got on it the effects on her were awful. She was depressed, had zero desire for sex, and other symptoms. Whenever I called her (we were living in different states during our engagement) she was crying her eyes out because she felt so bad. Naturally I was very concerned and we decided that she needed to talk to the doctor. My wife got the exact same response that the article mentions ("oh lets try a different pill"). At that point we decided to get off the pill and try something else (which was very difficult for DW since her mother was adamant that she remain on the pill). Besides the decision to accept Christ and the one to marry each other the decision to get off the pill was the best decision we ever made.
