I'm having an issue with notifications.

I've gone to Board Preferences->Edit Notification options.

I have unchecked both Email and Notifications for both "Someone replies to a topic you have bookmarked" and "Someone replies to a topic to which you are subscribed."

Despite having done this and saving it several times (just in case I missed something), I continue to get notifications when someone replies to a topic I've already posted on. I'm not getting emails, but it's showing up in the Notifications [#] item in my menu bar on the right.

Look at the Quick Links just under the header logo. Click on the 3 lines and there they are.

The upgrade was all done on Sunday, and took eight hours total, most of which the site was still up. So if you have other problems it was something else.

Still getting it after logging out and back in? Some changes don't take till you do that.

Tapatalk Pro on my Nexus 7 and Moto X stop with the message "Connecting to server...."

I'm able to connect to 2 unrelated forums.

Yup. I logged out and logged back in, and I still got it. So I went to check my Notification Settings again--and some things were once again checked.

I just tested something out with several items, and here's what I've found:

For any individual Item, selecting Email will automatically select Notifications as well upon saving. I can choose Notification only, or I can choose Email and Notification. I cannot, however, choose Email only.

ETA: If a series of screen shots would help make this clearer, let me know.

I want the old site back!

I find it is impossible on the board index page to see which topic areas have been updated. I used to be able to scan the date and then click into those interested topic areas that have a recent post date since the last time (date) I logged in.

Now there is no date column. So you have to aver a huge "unread posts" link or have to randomly tap into the various topics and then look within the subject line for the most recent posts. Which often times there has not been an update and is harder to discern the date rather than another date column.

Is there any way to put the date of last post column back?

Before you leave after a visit, click the "Mark all Read", then the next time you come the only posts that will show up in the Unread Posts are the ones that have new posts... Yeah, I know it's all topics, but there's usually not too many.

When you want to open a topic with new posts, If you click the little orange icon to the left of the topic title, it takes you directly to the new posts on the topic.

I apologize if I misunderstood what you were asking, it's easy for me to get lost in the terminology. I found though, that finding little tricks like this was actually faster and easier than scanning dates was. Once I got used to it, anyway.

When I use my laptop, the list of Unread Topics makes it easy for me to see when the most recent reply was posted. When I use my phone, however, I see what UF describes. I even tried the option of viewing as a desktop site instead of mobile, and it didn't make any difference.

I do understand - I hate it when a site changes things and hide or remove what I thought was just fine as it is.

However we have fallen far enough behind we were at risk of being hacked, and Tapatalk was no longer working correctly, so we had to upgrade.

Upon leaving to mark all as read is a good idea.

Except for the fact that sometimes I don't have time to only check a few threads and not do a complete scam of interested discussions.

I never new of clicking on the icon to the left of the thread. That's a good tip! Thanks

I have seen tap talk but I really don't understand what it is or how it is used or why one would want to use it.

I downloaded the ap on my phone once and then Had not clue what it did or how to use it and just deleted it.

Maybe I should reconsider but I will have to get a briefing on the program I guess.

Technologically I am pretty much an idiot. Most things with a microchip quit working when I enter a room and IT people always tell me "wow I've never seen that happen before". It is a standing joke at my office where I work as my cubical mates have heard the IT people say those exact words so many times.

After the upgrade I can't use Windows 10 desktop tapatalk app. I get error:

Error converting value "" to type 'System.int64' Path 'ignored_uids", line 1, position 449.

i tried uninstalling the tapatalk app from the desktop but no change. Tapatalk works fine from mi iPad and iPhone.

Until you posted this, I didn't even know that Windows 10 had a Tapatalk app--but I now have it. Other forums work just fine for me, but I see the same message when I try to access TMB.

On the iPad issue - the screen shots I got do not show the site requiring a left to right scroll.

Can I get a screenshot of this, along with the model and software version?

Model MC705LL/A
Safari 9.2.1

I'm not sure I'm tech savvy enough to post a screenshot here. My issue is that the TMB blue header box takes up half the screen at the top. For example, half the page is the blue box and then only the first post is showing.

A couple of the iPhones did that - the text is way too big. Might be how the extra text is coded. Other systems scale it fine, but a few Apple products are having trouble.

As annoying as it is, once you scroll down it's all good, yes?

A left-right scroll would be a far bigger issue.

I've removed the hard coded size on the letters in the banner and gone to a more modern option that should scale better.

Any improvement for the Apple people?

I'm not seeing a difference on iPad. It's annoying, but so is 9.2 version of Safari! We'll eventually get used to it and then have to re-learn when the next update comes down the pike. Keeps us young!
