Hello all. I've been on here a couple weeks now just getting a feel for the place.

My story is a little boring. I've been married 18 yrs to my HS sweetheart. We have a wonderful marriage with two (mostly :D ) wonderful girls. I sought out an environment like this to help accept and embrace my sexual nature. I am a pastors kid and was raised in a "don't ask don't tell" mindset around sex with a helping of "good girls don't" guilt mixed in.

While I went farther than I should have while dating my future husband, we did not have sex. Unfortunately after marriage I was never able to find any good resources to help fill the information gap. This led to a very ok romantic life, but I wanted more. We have had better communication around wants and desires for the last year and our enjoyment has increased dramatically.

I still feel as if I have a lot to learn for my own relationship but an increasing sense of responsibility to become more educated to communicate much more openly and lovingly with my daughters as they age.

Looking forward to continuing my journey.

Welcome! Glad you are here. TMB has been a huge part of helping me understand myself, my husband and my marriage better.
God can change what people do, behavioral patterns that have been in play for decades. He can change what we do to cope, find comfort, survive conflict, to count. Rahab had done a same old thing for years...then she did something new.

Welcome Sarah. I'm sure your story isn't boring at all. From your posts I've seen you sound pretty similar to us. I've found there is a lot to learn from others going thru the same life stages and sharing ideas and stories of life.

I am you much younger. I am an ex-pastor's kid who was told all of the same things you were except I never even dated until I found my fiancee.

I hope to learn something about husband care.
