I love reading all of that. Really just made my day. Was sitting down for a little quiet time with God, and like I often do, I got distracted with something that I should put off till later( yes, even TMB should take a backseat to God), and he managed to give me a little uplift when I needed one, despite my poor discipline.

Thank you for sharing all of that.

After a long evening of him on a conference call with the elders, and then us talking, he said he had something important to tell me, and he made me look in his eyes and he said, "You need to know, I would leave ministry for you. You are more important." I did need to know that, because I honestly did not believe that and have never believed that, because he has never given me any clear sign that would be true. I know he is called and gifted to be a pastor, I would never ask him to walk away from that, and that is why walking away from marriage seemed to be the only way to get rest from ministry. Anyway, he continued to explain how his number one calling is to be my husband and marriage.

Your update was such wonderful and positive news! The quoted part above made me a little teary eyed. Prayers for continued healing and answered prayers.

Our first counseling session got bumped to today, in just over 2 1/2 hours.
God can change what people do, behavioral patterns that have been in play for decades. He can change what we do to cope, find comfort, survive conflict, to count. Rahab had done a same old thing for years...then she did something new.

Praying for God to be present and that this is a beginning of reconnection.

Praying the session was beneficial, and this starts the road to a healthy loving marriage.
