I can't wait for the ultrasound. Desperately hoping to hear baby's heartbeat then!

Those awful symptoms are part of how you know you're really pregnant, so while I'm really sorry you're suffering, I'm also glad that you are experiencing the kinds of things that can make a pregnancy feel real. Pregnancy fatigue is awful, and I hope you're able to get some naps.

I can't win. I freak out some people by not updating regularly and I freak out others by updating!

I'd probably start a new thread if something drastic happened. Believe me, I wake up almost every morning in a cold sweat because of a miscarriage nightmare. I always rush to the bathroom to check. That's why I desperately want to hear a heartbeat at the ultrasound. I hear miscarriage rates drop below 5% when a heartbeat is heard.

Yes, I'm thankful for each and every symptom. They are a blessed reminder of the joy I've waited so long for. I'm definitely not complaining, just stating for the record, I guess. Haha. It's weird how symptoms can vary so much from woman to woman.

Ha! I wasn't complaining. But with us having gone through two miscarriages and one period of baffling infertility, I'm walking with ya on this one.

I am sooo excited for you!!! I was thinking of you the other day and praying that you'd your BFP soon. I know how painful it is to want a child and not have one. Yay!!! I'll be praying that your pregnancy will be smooth.
Since you did IVF could it be possible that you may have twins?

I only had one blastocyst transferred so the only way I have twins is if they're identical. Still possible, but unlikely. Only about a 5% chance. :)

I appreciate that. Miscarriage is always a very real and ever-present fear for me. I try to rearrange my thinking to be positive and say "look, you have an 85-95% chance of a perfectly healthy pregnancy. " rather than "There's a 5-15% chance I'll miscarry!"

Whatever the reality turns out to be, I'm glad I have you guys there with me.

Put your trust in The Lord MS, or you will spend the whole pregnancy in fear.

Bible
Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God ’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he’s the one who will keep you on track. Don’t assume that you know it all. Run to God ! Run from evil! Your body will glow with health, your very bones will vibrate with life! Honor God with everything you own; give him the first and the best. Your barns will burst, your wine vats will brim over. But don’t, dear friend, resent God ’s discipline; don’t sulk under his loving correction. It’s the child he loves that God corrects; a father’s delight is behind all this. (Proverbs 3:5-12 MSG)

I'm still praying for you. I was just thinking of my friends who our small group walked with and prayed for through their adoptions and their IVF's. Some of us have experiences that make us so aware of the miracle of life that God has given us that we can't just take it for granted. I talked with someone recently about that.

I'm praying for you and your health this morning Maple!
Get out your bible and see what He says. Pray to Him right now and ask Him for His wisdom in the matter. He will not fail you if you put your faith and trust in Him.

Had my ultrasound two days ago--- not much to see at 7.5 weeks, but there was enough! A fluttering little heartbeat! 156bpm!

That was what we needed to see before we went public, so while it's really early, we just had to spill the beans. So many people were already finding out anyway because they knew I went for ivf and came back feeling sick all the time. :P

I got scolded by the u/s tech for not having a full bladder, but she still managed to get the job done. I was trying to walk the fine line between being in agony for the appointment and not being full enough, apparently I failed to find that balance. :P

This makes my heart so happy for you. Actually seeing or hearing your baby's heartbeat for the first time is such an amazing moment.
