mywifesman, "But my wife's hormonal episodes seem to come out of nowhere - I think I am having a normal difference in opinion, and then it blows up into her getting very upset - more than would be expected. Next day, everything is back to normal." This is exactly how my wife reacted and she too eventually understood, but it did not stop her episodes LOL. We, my kids and I are glad she is getting back to normalcy.

Yes, Firefly, I am afraid of few men, but as for out-of-control female hormones ... I say, be afraid, be VERY afraid! I seriously used to laugh when I'd hear guys relate their tales of encounters with their wives' raging hormones, thinking that they HAD to be silly exaggerations. But n    o more!

Black cohosh, the subject of study for many decades throughout Europe, has been found effective time and again in reducing frequency and severity of hot flashes including night sweats, irregular periods, nervousness, irritability and vaginal dryness.

I'll look into black cohosh, as well.

Thanks!

I took black cohosh for the first year, you can find this sort of thing in Walmart stores and it DID help with the symptoms as well.. however I found it caused other things to happen with me and they were not pretty... Once I put myself on the Maca I was a much happier girl and no bad side effects..
sex drive and energy levels are through the roof.. your mileage may vary...
