Interesting article. Another reason for post-menopausal women to maintain healthy hormone levels. If Estrogen is ok, FSH won't be so high. And assuming FSH affects men the same way, normal testosterone levels will prevent the same problems in men.

One statement in the article, that ovaries "start to fail before menopause", is incorrect. It is a myth that ovaries do nothing after menopause. They continue to produce the same hormones, albeit at lower levels. DW sailed thru menopause, but when she lost he ovaries several years later, it was devastating. Thank God for bHRT.
