question regarding viagra

Postby happilybedded » Fri Apr 13, 2012 6:04 am

DH isn't online much but knows I am here looking for answers and ideas. He has been talking for the last few months about trying the magic blue pill to liven things up. He is 59; I am 51. He is on meds for HTN and asthma; we know that the SE of his med for BP isn't helping the situation much. So, he is able to get and maintain an erection although it isn't as full as he would like and is not firm enough for rear-entry PIV any more, which has been a favorite for us for years. He sees his cardio on Monday for his annual work-up and is talking about asking the doctor about it, but we would be interested in hearing from some of the guys (or the wives of guys!) who have used it. I am going to be talking to my OB GYN about adding a bit of testosterone to what I take but before I do that, he wants to be sure he can keep up with it :D. We recently tried the vibe number....it is OK, but I would much prefer him in there instead of that! Any suggestions or ideas from those who have BTDT? thanks!

IMO..I would talk to your dr about Cialis.. dh takes this.. along with his HBP pills..they actually work together pretty good.. and he has no problems..
I think , at this point , that he doesn't need the cialis.. but it is a crutch that comes in handy and it also helps with HBP so he stays on it.

I would second the Cialis suggestion. It lasts longer, and the side effects are milder, IMO. But if he goes on the daily dose, have him keep watch for leg pain. That was a problem for me with it, but other than that it works pretty well.

We use it recreationally when we want a bit of a "shagfest" or when DH is super tired and I cannot be abated. We have used both vi@gra and Ci@lis and usually get it via samples or using a coupon for a certain number of pills free that we find free doing a web search.

It's fun stuff. I don't know if it would make things different if it was a need instead of want. It makes the penis super duper hard and kind of warm which is a fun sensation and makes him last a bit longer and have a quicker recovery time. The only drawback is that ups his blood pressure a bit and sometimes can give him a headache. That is usually fixed by lowering the dose the next time like cutting it in half or even quarters depending on the dose.

I say it's worth a shot, but look for the coupons!

Robin.. does the cialis up his blood pressure too?
Both dh's dr and the pharmacist told us that in some men cialis is used to help control BP...not the viagra.. just the cialis..

I'm really eager to know the answer to that. DH's BP med isn't working as well as we would like it to, and the cardio will likely adjust the dose on Monday. Having this med lower his pressure a bit would be a nice side effect.

There should be a thread here for links to online coupons

I agree it's fun stuff, there have been a couple of times where I finished but could just keep going like I hadn't. One time not long after I used it and we ML, and a bit later I took some ASA for a headache. I don't know if there was some kind of reaction, but I suddenly was super ready all over again after a few minutes. DW was very generous and we had a second round of a full 20 min of very vigorous PIV, and I could have kept going too but she was worn out (but happy). She said she had 5 'mini O's'.

Well now neither of them do because we learned to keep the dose low. It seems the only reason the blood pressure was spiking was because he was taking a full pill.

I know one of them was Pfizer.

I forgot we have also used Levitra as well. Basically anything we find a coupon for. You only get 5 or 3 at a time but free is free. DH just walks in with his coupons and asks for samples when he is in for his yearly physical or is seeing the doctor because he is sick. The doctor knows what we are up to and thinks it's funny. But it's also the same GP that sees me for various sex injuries so it's all good.

They are just nice to keep on hand. For example we are big on mandatory birthday/Anniversary/dating anniversary/Mothers and Fathers day/Fourth of July/night before one of us is going out of town or gets home/Thanksgiving /insert special day here sex. One year the night before my bday hubby was up the night before due to work and was super tired. Having it on hand allowed us to still have a good time that would have had the potential to be a challenge if we hadn't.

Uhm, what about a little extra testosterone for him? If he is low the benefits would extend beyond sexual performance to improving his general health.

The annual cardio / full body work-up went well; all his labs are back except for one and they look wonderful. DH brought up the subject w/ the doctor at the end, telling him he had been wondering about testosterone or cilias, esp after reading about the health benefit of T. His doc said he would "work on it" and let him know what he thinks when DH goes in for that last lab result (his PSA screening). So, still waiting on the answer to this one.....

I one persons opinion (mine) CIALIS is the ONE.

No history of eye problems.

Works fast. Lasts much much longer (called Tmax & T1/2).
