Re: Husband introduced me to toys/ now he's angry

Tell him the large sex toys stretch you out so you can't feel him. Tell him you don't need to sex toys and you need to adjust to his size. Do Kegels to strengthen and retrain the muscles. Then just have normal sex with him. What I see is potentially a man who's addicted to porn and could be sufferi...

Re: Need advice

I'll just add this - based on the experience with my wife - peri-menopause is a hormonal hurricane with a mood tornado thrown in for funzies. It can be challenging for sure. The next stage is at least a little more consistent, but not a carnival ride either. So my advice is to do all you can to be g...

Re: Compare & contrasting list of "healthy vs unhealthy" sex

NWNL- you like the list, that’s obvious. You ask what “stood out.” It stands out as a restrictive two choice list: this column good, this column bad. It seems to want to characterize sex as either healthy (according to their list) or abusive/addictive. I honestly think if the list had been presented...

Re: Adultery and Idolatry

It certainly is easier for someone to repent and pull back from a sinful stupid choice than it is from an ongoing, "habitual" choice, ... My FIL retired district judge used to call this the difference in a "crime of passion" and a "crime of character." He doled out pun...

Re: Compare & contrasting list of "healthy vs unhealthy" sex

What makes it useless ....? much too simplistic and casts way too wide of a net across "unhealthy" to be useful as it is now IMO. Could it start a discussion? Maybe - or a fight. The "obligation" point is just one, if not the most glaring example. But if you're just looking for ...

Re: what constitutes healthy sex?

6. You skip pity sex. Zoldbrod calls this "mercy sex." It's when you have sex because your partner wants to—even though it's the last thing you want. Some experts say you shouldn't turn down your partner. Zoldbrod says mercy sex is acceptable on occasion, but a steady diet of it can tank ...

Re: Compare & contrasting list of "healthy vs unhealthy" sex

In all honesty, I think it's a pretty useless list myself. The kind of thing someone comes up with to make a publishing deadline.

Agreed. Though "duty sex" can be less satisfying, for both partners. But it should be noted that doing one's duty can still be very enjoyable. It's all about attitude.
