Pondering implant

Post by 1979cessna »

Greetings,

I deal with E.D. issues. I can still get an erection with manual stimulation, but by the time I'm erect enough for intercourse I am close to the ejaculation point. Which doesn't give much time for PIV sex.
I have questions that hopefully someone may gave some insight on.
One is that the implant makes the shaft rigid but not the glans... so I'm wondering how intercourse is with a rigid penis and a spongy glans..... Also I have read that you can lose up to an inch in length, which I'm not too enthused about.
Hopefully I can get other's opinions and thoughts.
Thanks,

Have you tried injections yet? They are much less invasive and work well. Plus you won’t have issues with the head being spongy! :D

I would encourage you to consult a urologist regarding your problem. There are many options available, including the injections as mentioned by Dale.

I think the only men that get implants is when ED meds or injections don't work. I do one guy that got one in his 70's and he said him and his wife loved it.

Can the process be explained? I've never heard of an implant for a penis. What does it do, how does it work?

Here's the relevant page of the Mayo clinic website which gives a good explanation
https://www.mayoclinic.org/tests-proced ... c-20384916

Essentially, you either implant semi-rigid rods into the penis so it's permanently erect or you implant a hydraulic system so you can pump it up to get an erection.

It's generally a treatment option of last resort.

I think you should try to learn to hold off on orgasm. You can do PC muscle exercises/kegels, which may also help with the erection issues. If it were me, I'd rather do Viagra than an implant.

I saw an add for an erection supplement that supposedly gave an old porn star erections. The commercial was a bit crude, so I did not want to support them and just got the ingredients, the 5 G's, ginseng, green tea, ginger, gingko biloba, and garlic. I have tablets for all of them. I don't I really need them probably 95% of the time, but I am getting older, so if I know I will be having sex with my wife, I'll take some or all of them (I can just drink green tea).
